6figguh: Feechi Onyenali Mgbeoduru, known artistically as 6figguh, is a rapper, lyricist, and performer based in Regina, originally from the Garden City in Nigeria. Currently studying at the University of Regina, 6figguh is carving out a bold lane in Canada’s hip hop scene. 6figguh creates tracks that speak to the complexity of being misread, misunderstood, or mentally overstimulated in a loud world. Tracks like “RBF” (Resting Bitch Face) and the epic “Abuse Is Contagious” have been praised for their dark humor, vulnerability, and literary edge, as well as their performances live. He has been performing live with his music receiving airplay on CJTR / AccessNow Radio, and he is continuing to build a presence across the Canadian prairies, where each verse is a statement.
Roem is a Regina-based artist who has been performing and releasing tracks for the past couple of years, including collab “The Come Up Volume 1” with T Deniro in January of this year.
Braided Waves is an Indigenous blood brother duo residing in Treaty 6 Territory of Saskatoon. The brothers are originally from The Key First Nation in the Treaty 4 Territory. Braided Waves brothers both now share 11 years of sobriety each! They've had the pleasure to travel all over Canada & the US, sharing their stories and showcasing their music to thousands of people across Turtle Island. They pair their love of music with motivational speaking & storytelling along with workshops. They have already released 3 singles this year with the latest “Take a Chance” in June. “Music for people to witness and enjoy, Motivation to keep our children and peers alike on a positive path, Vision to see and chase our goals no matter the obstacles, what you believe in and hope to be, is worth fighting for!”
Yellowsky: Hailing from Nêhiyāw & Chiléan bloodlines, Indigenous Reggae artist Yellowsky is originally from the Sweetgrass First Nation (Treaty 6 Territory), born in Saskatoon. Performing since 2008, his flow to massive, bottom end-heavy beats pay homage to the grimy city life of the most classic of hip-hop music while his elastic, malleable delivery harken to the traditions of both classic Jamaican deejaying mixed with more modern MC styles. The end result is a vocal, lyrical and musical blend rarely ever seen. His first album, "Mixed Medicine," earned a 'Best New Artist' nomination at the 2018 Indigenous Music Awards and the 'Best Indigenous Artist' nomination at the Saskatchewan Music Awards. He's opened for legendary reggae artist Clinton Fearon, Hawaii's Mike Love and Australia’s Saritah as well as mainstream artists like Madchild, Hopsin, MGK, Riff Raff, his cousin, Joey Stylez and legendary native rapper, Hellnback. His latest, Redemption Point Remix, was dropped in May.
