Described by its creators as specializing in "trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock," Darsombra navigates multiple sonic vistas, from drone-fueled doom and twisty progressive rock to lush, ambient psych-pop. The brainchild of Brian Daniloski (guitar, vocals, effects pedals) and Ann Everton (synthesizer, gong, vocals), the duo began recording and touring around 2005, sharing stages with the likes of , , and , and releasing material via notable underground labels like Jucifer, Wino, and Thrones.
